Gorgeous J & P Coats spool cotton box from approx. the 1880's. This listing is for the EMPTY box ONLY. None of the original spools are included within. This piece is clean and beautifully illustrated. There is some light foxing to the original top label and a few spots of damage to the surface. The bottom label is in slightly worse condition with sections of paper having been lifted. Luckily, the majority is still legible and clean. The inside of the box is clean and clear of contents. There is a small pencil written inscription reading "Chester's first cut hair" inside the inner portion of the top lid. Overall, this box is sturdy, clean and displays incredibly well.
